Based in Treaty 1 Territory, Winnipeg, CVLNS (pronounced ‘civilians’) is a community planning consultancy drawing on a combined 30 years of experience leading complex planning, urban design, and engagement projects across Canada. 


Our work spans communities and sites of all sizes, where we collaborate with our clients to devise creative and sustainable solutions to existing and emerging challenges. Through experience, ongoing research, and, most importantly, conversation and collaboration, we strive to develop a deep understanding of our clients’ needs to better develop forward-thinking strategies, policies, and design solutions that help realize their vision. 


Whether with First Nations leaders, municipalities, community members, or organizations, our work is always a partnership – with the goal of building community with communities.
